Kings Restaurant
Tools Used:

Summary:

Kings Restaurant needed a brand new brand identity as well as web presence. I worked on a consistent usage of various design elements to bring the necessary friendly personality that they wanted to percieve to its loyal clients. With the recent expansion to Spokane, this restaurant wanted to emphasize their delicious Chinese food making simple information readily available.

The main areas of much needed improvement was information management. Using consistent typographical heirachy and lots of clean white space it gave King's Restaurant that necessary spice element. Using Mike Davidson's sIFR (Scalable Inman Flash Replacement), it makes it a simple solution to typography and the web.

The Summer Formal
The Summer Formal
Tools Used:
XHTML/CSS, Photoshop CS
Summary:

As one of my third paid freelance projects, this is one that was for a friend's band. This local and at the time burgeoning East Lansing band wanted a hip and edgy feel to it as well as utilizing graphical elements to convey its band name and identity. Use of graphical elements showing movement and repetition of figures give that visual punch; combined with a style of antiquity that the band so desired.

In terms of the process, this design utilized quick and dirty i-frames to allow modular pages.
